There has been a lot of discussions about these paid survey sites and whether they are legit or not. Well I have the answer for you here since I joined the paid survey site called Survey Scout to find out whether it’s a scam or not and wrote this review.

The first thing you should know is that there are really a few legit and well working survey sites out there but there are also a lot of scams. So I want you to know that you made a very smart choice to first read a review made by someone that have tried out this service before spending your money on something that might just be a big scam.

Ok so what did I find out when I reviewed Survey Scout?

Well… First of all I can tell you right now that it isn’t a scam, or at least I wouldn’t put it in that category. But I don’t say that it’s great or that you should join Survey Scout either. The thing is that they don’t really stick to what they promise in their sales copy.

Don’t get me wrong you do get some surveys sent to you by Survey Scout when you join but they are nowadays not as good as they were before. At least that’s what I’ve heard from people that have joined Survey Scout a few years ago. They also send you a lot of chances to win cash which is not really why you and I want to join a paid survey site so that is a little bit disappointing too.

Also one problem that I had was with the payment. I had just decided I will do a review and was about to join and I chose PayPal as my payment method… I got to the PayPal pay form and was about to send the money when the price suddenly went from 26€ to 36€ (34$ to almost 50$). On their website it said 26€ but on the pay form it said 36€, I don’t know if that was some kind of a PayPal fee but it really pissed me off right away. So I had a bit of a rocky start with them. But it wasn’t that bad and also I felt a lot better about the fact that I am doing a Survey Scout review so that people like you  who are maybe about to buy Survey Scout will be warned about this and not pay too much for their service.

Anyway… the nice thing with Survey Scout (and this is also why I don’t see them as a scam) is that they really do refund your money if you want a refund. At least they did for me. They do it politely and without asking too many questions… and this is something that scams in most cases don’t do. They want to cheat your money from you and then not refund you the money as promised. So in any case if you were thinking about joining Survey Scout I personally wouldn’t recommend it but you can of course always give it a try if you feel like it.
